NBC News president Steve Capus says a decision regarding Tim Russert’s permanent replacement on “Meet the Press” will come at some point between the November election and early December, the New York Times reports. The network is considering tapping an ensemble to host that would include NBC’s political director Chuck Todd and MSNBC anchor and correspondent David Gregory, the newspaper says, citing a source familiar with the situation. Tom Brokaw has served as interim host of “Meet the Press” since Mr. Russert’s sudden death.

  1. Lame and lamer. I like Chuck Todd, but he doesn’t ask very good follow up questions. David Gregory should just stick to dancing with Karl Rove since it’s more honest than what he’s been doing. Surely there is someone out there who would strive to live up to Tim Russert’s standards?
