Fox claimed that Tuesday’s “Fringe” debut gave the network its best drama premiere ratings in two years and the Washington Post points out that technically that’s true. The premiere of “Standoff,” a police negotiator drama, opened just four days over the two year mark to better numbers. But Fox is omitting other series that got the benefit of premiering after either “American Idol” or sports, the paper notes, and that leaves out most of Fox’s recent drama launches.
