Minnesota Senate candidate and former “Saturday Night Live” writer Al Franken helped inspire a sketch on the show lampooning presidential candidate John McCain and his “approval” of negative campaign ads, the Associated Press reports. Mr. Franken, looking to unseat Minnesota Senator Norm Coleman, wrote for “SNL” in 15 of its first 20 seasonss, the wire service says.

  1. Ah, yes…Al Franken: socialist. The fair treatment of conservatives continues. Let’s see a parody of the Obamas, with the suggestion of incest in his family. Imagine the outcry! But if it’s some stodgy old Republican, well, the gloves are off. Sheesh. Will it never end? Even the ignorant pinkos out there should be able to recognize a double standard of this magnitude.

  2. Maybe, because negative campaign ads are real. You’re ridiculous, “Chopped Liver”, as is anyone that thinks that liberal = socialist = pinko = evil, while conservative is only something to be proud of. Pull your head out of your rear end, you’ll be in the minority this November.
