Gay, lesbian, bisexual and transgendered characters will double this fall TV season on the broadcast networks, says the Hollywood Reporter. The Gay & Lesbian Alliance Against Defamation conducted a survey in which it found a total of 16 regular characters who will be on scripted series for NBC, ABC, Fox and the CW. Fox wins the most-improved title, the survey found. After featuring no LGBT characters in 2007, this season the network will have five. The CW and CBS are at the bottom of the list with the number of regular LGBT characters featured in a scripted series. The two networks come in this fall with a total of one and zero LGBT characters, respectively.
