Democratic presidential candidate Barack Obama is scheduled to make an appearance on the season premiere episode of “Saturday Night Live” this weekend, TelevisionWeek reports. The senator has previously made an appearance on the late-night comedy show, but details of his upcoming cameo are yet to be released. Olympic record-holder Michael Phelps will serve as host. Politics will be a big part of what “SNL” will be doing this season, USA Today reports, while the Associated Press says skewering presidential candidates is a tradition on the show.
