The results of the Screen Actors Guild board election are expected to be announced on Thursday, the Hollywood Reporter says. The union’s Unite for Strength faction is challenging the incumbent Membership First group for the 11 national board and 22 Hollywood board seats. The winning side will face ending the contract dispute with studios and producers and also working on strained relationships with rival union actors AFTRA, which was able to negotiate a separate contract earlier this year.
