Viacom’s proposed premium channel is considering becoming a digital-basic network, charging cable operators $1 to $1.50 per subscriber, Multichannel News reports, citing cable-industry executives. The new channel, a joint venture with Paramount, Metro-Goldwyn-Mayer and Lionsgate, is scheduled for release next year with a lineup of HD films and on-demand content.
