Studios Say No to SAG Talks

Studio and network owners rejected the Screen Actors Guild’s request to reopen contract negotiations, Deadline Hollywood Daily reports. After SAG’s Doug Allen and Alan Rosenberg sent a letter to Nick Counter, president of studio negotiating group, the Alliance of Motion Picture & Television Producers, News Corp.’s Peter Chernin and Walt Disney Co.’s. Bob Iger, seeking new talks, Counter replied that further discussion would be unproductive since SAG continues to argue for terms that studios and producers have “repeatedly rejected,” in a letter reprinted on the site.
