‘View’ Aims for Center Stage in Politics

ABC Daytime’s “The View” is staking a claim as a hot spot in the nation’s political landscape this fall following a series of interviews with key figures in this year’s presidential elections, the New York Times reports. Guest including presidential candidate Sen. John McCain have helped boost ratings on the show, where the hosts usually wear their political beliefs on their sleeves, the paper says.

  1. BEST interview of John McCain so far. They really stuck him some – at least in comparison to other “real” reporters. Brava the View Team (except Elisabeth who is a pig)

  2. Jake, that wasn’t an interview. That was nothing more than a McCain bashing and a liberal spectacle to up the ratings. There was nothing fair or informative about that so called “interview.” And no one deserves to be called a pig just because they don’t subscribe to your views.
If this is what is to be expected from the View ladies, they can count me out. I expect EVERY host on the show to give EVERY political guest the same deferential treatment they showed Obama and his wife. If they can’t do that, then I’m not going to watch and I hope everyone else is smart enough to see it as it really is, including you, Jake.
