Jessica Walter has been dropped as a series regular from The CW’s “90210,” Entertainment Weekly reports. The magazine says the decision to not pick up the former “Arrested Development” star’s contract option was made purely because of financial reasons. Executive producer Gabe Sachs insists that this is not the last fans will see of Walter’s character, Tabitha. The actress has agreed to appear on a recurring basis, EW says. “We love Jessica,” Sachs said.

That was quick…grandma didn’t have much of a storyline, rather than just being background “fluff”. Why did they bother even having her, then? I’m thinking the CW thought their ratings would be higher for this show…and now have to cut costs to make up for the low numbers. Too bad…it is actually a pretty entertaining show!
