Brand Quits BBC Show After Prank Call Flap

Comedian Russell Brand resigned from his BBC Radio show after he and Jonathan Ross were suspended for airing what the network said were lewd phone messages to “Fawlty Towers” co-star Andrew Sachs, the Associated Press reports. Brand and Ross, who apologized for the prank call, received more than 18,000 complaints as well as a public reprimand from U.K. Prime Minister Gordon Brown, the wire service says..
