Tuesday night’s presidential debate bettween Republican candidate John McCain and Democratic nominee Barack Obama lacked any “particularly electrifying performance,” the Washington Post says. The New York Times adds that the candidates displayed “less vigor and venom than expected.” Some of the most memorable parts of the evening included McCain referring to Obama as “that one,” moderator Tom Brokaw’s repeated time limit warnings and a possible slighted handshake, which can be seen on YouTube.
