The appearance by the real Sarah Palin on “Saturday Night Live” helped the late night comedy show draw its biggest audience in more than 14 years, the New York Times reports. Palin, the Republican nominee for vice president, appeared twice on the show, once with producer Lorne Michaels and Alec Baldwin while Tina Fey did her Palin impression in a mock press conference sketch, and once during the “Weekend Update” segment. “SNL” drew a 10.7 rating and more than 14 million viewers, a figure matched by few shows that air in prime time.
