TV Can Be Good for Kids

The Chicago Tribune cites studies and experts who say that watching TV can boost test scores for some children, especially those in disadvantaged homes. “If used correctly, television can be a wonderful medium for kids. It can be a way of exposing them to the world. It can be a resource for kids to get to places and times they wouldn’t get to,” says on University of Texas researcher. The paper also provides a list of the smartest ways to use the tube, such as taking sets out of kids’ bedrooms.
