Will Viewers Watch the Obama Show?

Barack Obama is spending $3.5 million to air a half hour campaign ad in primetime Wednesday, but it is unclear how many people will tune in, TelevisionWeek says. Even if undecided voters watch, it’s unclear the long-form infomercial will convince them to vote for Obama, TVWeek says. The New York Times describes the infomercial as heavy in strings, flags and presidential imagery. Obama will speak into the camera at first, then the program will tell the stories of what four American families are confronting and how the candidate addresses those issues, the paper says.
