“The View” co-host and John McCain supporter Elisabeth Hasselbeck took her candidate’s loss Tuesday night in stride and with grace, speaking admiringly of President-elect Barack Obama on Wednesday’s edition of the talk show, the Los Angeles Times reports. “Today is a victory for this country: to have Barack Obama be our president, the first black president, the first black first lady,” Hasselback told the live and TV viewing audience. “To have the amount of voters—14 million more voters in this election than the last—present themselves and vote in this election. Today is a victory.”

  1. Ok, what’s the deal? These people like Hasselbeck, were totally against Obama. Now they are behind him?
There has been a total media shift on Obama since he won the election? Can anyone explain? They called John Keery “Wifty-Wofty” and inconsistant. So isn’t this the same thing?
Its OK to differ in opinion. Thats how this country learns. However, to fold on one’s convictions is not a good thing.
I’m rather concerned on how this 360 degree turn is happening. Its eerie. Even Laura Ingraham made the turn, after bashing Obama’s campaign.
Are we going to be a communist dictatorship? Last I heard, we aren’t. So, why act like that?
I’m not endorsing a particular candiate, but observed this HUGE change. It kinda worries me.

  2. Grace is an unusual attribute to find on the right-wing so might be a little startling to folks like EmmGee.
Don’t worry, be happy. Maybe we’ll have a less divisive and hateful country now. It’s time for all the blow hards to blow a little more softly, don’t you think? Now, if only something could be done about Rush and Sean. It would take stem cell research to grow them a connection from their mouths to their brains, I think.
