A bill that would extend analog television broadcasts for 30 days beyond the Feb. 17 transition to all-digital deadline was sent to President Bush on Wednesday, Multichannel News reports. A spokeswoman couldn’t confirm whether Bush would sign the bill. Separately, the Connecticut Broadcasters Association said 1,700 people called its hotline on Dec. 3 during a test of the switch to digital from analog, Broadcasting & Cable says.
