The roughly 570 attendees at the Screen Actors Guild’s Hollywood meeting Wednesday were more supportive of the union’s leadership and the January strike vote than the group’s New York members, the Hollywood Reporter says. Rob Schneider and former guild president Ed Asner criticized the group of well-known actors, including George Clooney and Tom Hanks, who signed a petition asking the authorization vote be rescinded. Meanwhile, both sides have their own Web sites promoting their views, DeadlineHollywoodDaily reports.
