“Price Is Right” Contestant’s Guess Is Exactly Right

A contestant on CBS’ “The Price Is Right” guessed the exact cost of the game show’s showcase prize, something that hasn’t happened on the program since 1970, the New York Post says. The guess of $23,743 won a male contestant named Terry both of the show’s top prizes, a 17-foot camper and an around-the-world trip, while host Drew Carey’s reaction was “blasé,” the paper said.

  1. Drew is TERRIBLY nonchalant about EVERYTHING that happens on the show. I don’t expect him to jump up and down and scream with delight, but, well – he just isn’t “game-show-hosty,” and it shows.
The show still works (well enough), but I feel that Drew underestimates the importance in entertainment value that a host should bring to the proceedings.
I really believe that I could do this as well as he does — in fact I’m quite encouraged by his performance (or lack thereof).
Come on, Drew – give us SOMETHING!
