The New York Observer named “60 Minutes” executive producer Jeffrey Fager as one of its Media Mensches for 2009. Under Fager, the venerable newsmagazine show had a breakout year in terms of ratings and produced “hard charging” stories on the economic crisis, the presidential campaign and the wars in Iraq and Afghanistan, the paper says.
