ABC’s ‘Lost’ Signals TV Changes

ABC’s decision to devote its entire prime-time evening on Wednesday to the return of “Lost” and then run the show straight through until May signals television has changed forever, the New York Daily News reports. Not long ago, this strategy would have been viewed as a big gamble. Now, with increased competition from cable and technology changing viewing patterns, ABC and other networks are seeking to keep viewers loyal by limited reruns and keeping shows running consecutively, the newspaper says.
