Marketers Look at YouTube for Ads

Markets are looking at ways to advertise online on sites such as video destination YouTube and social networking hub Facebook as consumers change the way they search the Web, the Wall Street Journal reports. More searches now take place on YouTube than on Yahoo, the No. 2 Web-search service. General Electric’s Universal pictures has started buying video ads on YouTube to promote new releases, showing the spots when consumers search for terms related to the genre of movie that the company is releasing.
