NBC Tops SAG Awards

NBC led the awards count among networks at the 15th annual Screen Actors Guild awards, with its “30 Rock” among top honorees, TelevisionWeek reports. The series took three awards, with wins for lead actors Tina Fey and Alec Baldwin and an ensemble win for the whole cast, the publication reports. The television awards were hardly a surprise, with “30 Rock,” HBO’s “John Adams” and AMC’s “Mad Men” garnering top prizes, the Hollywood Reporter says. While some SAG-nominated actors were forthright backstage about the infighting on SAG’s board over contract nominations, only Tina Fey made a reference during the ceremony when she stressed the importance of earning residuals for new media, Daily Variety reports.
