New Digital Vote Planned

Democrats in Congress took steps that could lead to a vote next week to delay the switchover to digital broadcasting from Feb. 17 to June 12, TelevisionWeek reports. A move to vote on the delay this week was blocked. The New York Times takes a look at some of the people who aren’t ready for the change to digital broadcasting.

  1. Honest to God, this is like college where six people procrastinated and then begged the prof to move the deadline because they were slackers.

  2. Doug. Could not agree more. Some news organizations are claiming it is 6 million people, while others are reporting that it is 6.5% of the population. In any event, when did digital television become a basic american right? I have often said that procrastination is the cause, not lack of education. It is time to flip the switch and move along.
