Tribune Co. and World Wrestling Entertainment have signed a two-year agreement to air new program called “WWE Superstars” on Tribune’s cable network WGN America in April, Broadcasting & Cable says. Ed Wilson, Tribune’s chief revenue office and broadcasting president, said the program will feature WWE’s popular Superstars and Divas (female wrestlers), and that negotiations with WWE were well underway when Tribune filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy protection.

So, if Tribune is out of the syndication business, who would pick the show up if WWE decided it should be syndicated? Debmar-Mercury?
(That company picked up the rights to distribute
Family Feud.)
