Conan O’Brien is getting ready to do his last “Late Night” from New York and is gearing up to be the new host of the “Tonight Show” in Los Angeles, the New York Times says. O’Brien’s task is complicated by his own falling ratings and plans for NBC to precede his show with another talk show at 10 p.m. featuring current “Tonight Show” host Jay Leno. The Washington Post notes that “Late Night” guest Norm MacDonald explained that Leno has been outfoxing rivals for years.
