Ed McMahon, 85, is in intensive care after being hospitalized for pneumonia and other ailments, the Associated Press reports, citing his spokesman Howard Bragman. McMahon, Johnny Carson’s sidekick on “The Tonight Show” between 1962 and 1992, broke his neck in a 2007 fall, the wire service says.
