Peter Gabriel has pulled out of the Academy Awards show, saying in a letter to the Academy Of Motion Picture Arts And Sciences that he doesn’t believe the nominated songs, and their writers and performers, would get enough respect during this year’s Oscars telecast, DeadlineHollywoodDaily.com reports. The problem is that the show’s producers, Larry Mark and Bill Condon, whittled the song segment to a medley of the three songs, the site says.
