Rough Economy Helping Evening Newscasts

The evening newscasts on the Big Three broadcast networks are getting a boost as viewers tune in for the latest economic news, the Associated Press reports. Trying to assess how bad the economy is and how to fix it “really plays to the strength and definition of what our broadcast is and what all the evening news broadcast are,” “Nightly News” executive producer Bob Epstein tells the wire service.
