The stalemate in negotiations between the Screen Actors Guild and the Alliance of Motion Picture and Television Producers is likely to remain for a few weeks because neither side appears ready to change its position on when the contract expires, Daily Variety reports. Meanwhile, SAG continues to be split by two factions battling each other, with members of Membership First picketing SAG headquarters and contending that fired national executive director Doug Allen should be rehired, the trade paper says.
