Tribune-owned WPIX-TV, New York, will disclose that the television station has been receiving gift certificates from restaurants in exchange for being profiled on its series “Dining Pix,” the New York Daily News reports. Before this, the weekly series profiled restaurants in what appeared to be a newscast, but the selections were actually linked to advertising deals, which skirts FCC disclosure rules, the newspaper says.
