’24’ Goes Green

Mar 2, 2009  •  Post A Comment

Fox says “24” is becoming the first carbon-neutral television series, the New York Times reports. Car crashes, a frequent feature in the show, are difficult to do on a green basis, so the producers will be buying carbon offsets to make up for the carbon dioxide emitted when autos explode, the paper says. Fox parent News Corp. has said it intends to be cabon neutral by 2010.

  1. This is one of the dumbest concepts EVER invented (carbon credits, that is) and one of my favorite shows is now coddling it! Buying carbon credits doesn’t reduce any emmisions or help the planet in any way, other than lining the pockets of the agencies that collect them. Too much!!!

  2. I can’t help but notice that the linked NY Times story is all about product placement; doesn’t even mention “24.”
