CBS Goes Mad for Platforms

CBS is offering this year’s NCAA Men’s Division I Basketball Tournament, also known as “March Madness,” on more screens and in more formats than before, ranging from offerings on iPhones and the Internet to HD, Multichannel News reports. “We used to bring our cameras, shoot some basketball games and go home. Now, there are myriad new ways that we’re trying to maximize revenue,” CBS News and Sports President Sean McManus told the publication. Separately, Comcast will be the sponsor of CBS Sports’ “boss button,” an online button that brings up a fake spreadsheet if online viewers are caught watching by their bosses, Multichannel reports.
