Some in Canada are criticizing the Canadian Broadcasting Corp. for airing too many shows from the United States, with federal heritage minister James Moore saying on a radio show that he doesn’t like seeing Canadian shows canceled while shows such as “Jeopardy!” are picked up, the Hollywood Reporter says. Last year the public broadcaster acquired “Jeopardy!” and “Wheel of Fortune” and canceled or placed on hiatus Canadian programs “Fashion File” and “Steve and Chris,” the trade paper says.
