The late Jim Henson and the Jim Henson Co. will receive the Fred Rogers Award for their work in children’s educational programming, Broadcasting & Cable reports. The Corporation for Public Broadcasting presents the award, the trade publication notes. Henson is the man responsible for the beloved Muppets of “Sesame Street” and the Fraggles, while the Fred Rogers Award is given in honor of the late host of “Mr. Rogers’ Neighborhood,” B&C adds.
