Media merger-and-acquisition activity is likely to drop this year, the Hollywood Reporter says, citing a report from PricewaterhouseCoopers. At year end, there were just $6.7 billion in deals pending, compared with $100 billion a year ago. Media acquisitions totaled $150.8 billion in 2008, the highest since 2001, the report says.
