Sesame Workshop, producer of the long-running kids show “Sesame Street,” has cut about 20% of its workforce due to economic reasons, the Associated Press reports. Of the nonprofit company’s 355 staff positions, 67 have been eliminated, the news service says. According to the company, the job cuts come as Sesame Workshop looks “to operate with fewer resources in order to achieve our strategic priorities,” the AP adds.
