Tribune-owned WPIX-TV in New York fired five off-camera staff members as the station looks to cut costs, the New York Daily News reports. The CW affiliate cut a producer who worked with “PIX Morning News” correspondent Larry Hoff, an assignment desk staff member and three writers, the newspaper says.
