Zucker Holds Out on Web, Defends Leno Shift

NBC Universal CEO Jeff Zucker asserted that online media consumption is still not making up for TV’s lost viewership and advertising revenue, Silicon Alley Insider reports. The site also notes that Hulu, the NBCU-News. Corp. Web video site, has been trying to keep its content off of Boxee, the software startup that brings Web video content to TV sets. Zucker also defended the network’s move to put Jay Leno in primetime, noting that TV networks should be judged for the way they manage costs as well as the entertainment they produce, Advertising Age says.
