“ER” is ending its 15-year run seeped in its creators’ worries about the show’s oblivion, the New York Times reports. The show hasn’t received an Emmy since 2005 and has been surpassed in the ratings by other hospital dramas such as “House,” the newspaper says. “ER,” which airs its final episode tonight, along with a retrospective episode, features a doctor who created the modern emergency room who now can’t remember his own name because of dementia, the Times says.
