Now only if we had a industry that wanted to work with each other to send a standardised ‘show end’ communication message to dvr’s/vcr’s
This would solve the problem.
But no of course not this is American not Japan, so we are left with situations like this continuing to occur.

I don’t watch Idol, but am a Fringe fan. I recorded Fringe last night, but missed the last 8 minutes of the show as the DVR wasn’t given the proper information.
But I WAS able to watch the end of the episode on fox.com, though it totally crashed my computer twice!
I’m sorry, but this was clearly a publicity stunt. The producers and all involved with AI are professionals. There is no way that supposedly best in he biz could accidentally run 9 minutes long! Even student productions aren’t that far off! They knew Lambert was last, and they knew that even if he lost votes because of it, they would use their judges “save” on him. This way, they get free publicity with little risk.
