Poehler Needs a Better ‘Office’

Apr 9, 2009  •  Post A Comment

In a review, the Washington Post calls NBC’s new comedy “Parks and Recreation” “a tpo-obvious imitation of the network’s imported hit ‘The Office.” The show was conceived as a vehicle for Amy Poehler but it “unfortunately isn’t worthy of her,” the Post says. On the other hand, the New York Times calls the show “charming and funny in its own right and in its own way, even though it relies on the exact same mock-documentary format and deadpan parody as “The Office.'”
