Screen Actors Guild national executive director David White has tapped The Saylor Company, founded by former Los Angeles Times senior business editor Mark Saylor, to work on a PR campaign to persuade the union’s members to ratify the proposed contract with the studios, DeadlineHollywoodDaily reports. Separately, opponents of the proposed contract predict they’ll vote down the deal as long as more than 30% of the union’s members vote, Daily Variety reports. “I think we have a real chance to defeat this if we can get the information out to the members,” Scott Wilson, an organizer of a rally to urge SAG members to vote against ratification, tells the trade paper.
