Three Broadcasters Hit With Ad Decline

Three of the top five broadcast networks saw advertising revenue declines last year, Advertising Age reports, citing figures from TNS Media Intelligence. Only Fox and NBC saw an increase in ad sales, which may be due to the Olympics on NBC and the Super Bowl airing on Fox, the trade paper says. Ad sales at CBS dropped 6.7% to $6.64 billion, ABC’s ad revenue slipped less than 1% to $6.16 billion, and The CW’s ad sales declined 13.1% to $790 million, the publication says.
