CW Gives Up on Sundays

The CW will abandon programming Sunday evenings beginning this fall, Television Week reports. The CW currently airs three hours of prime-time programming on Sundays, and it has always been the network’s weakest night, the publication says. By giving up that evening, The CW will gain in its overall ratings averages and lose a small portion of ad sales, while opening the door to syndication companies providing the network’s affiliates with alternatives, TVWeek adds.
