May 5, 2009  •  Post A Comment

Hearst-Argyle Television called an increased tender offer “fair” and advised shareholders accept the offer from Hearst Corp., which is seeking the one-third of the TV station owner it doesn’t yet own, Dow Jones reports. Hearst had said it expected the company would recommend the $4.50-a-share offer, which was increased a week ago after an initial offer in March, the news wire says.
