WBBM-TV and WGN-TV have agreed to join the content-sharing service started by Fox and NBC in Chicago, Broadcasting & Cable reports. CBS-owned WBBM and Tribune’s WGN will join the Local News Service starting May 11, the trade paper says. The only big station in Chicago that’s not part of the service is ABC’s WLS-TV, which was asked to join but declined, the publication adds.
