Advertising sales at television stations will decline 15% to $17 billion by the end of 2009, MediaPost reports, citing a report from Chantilly, Va.-based BIA Advisory Services. Ad sales may improve slightly next year, rising less than 1 percent to $17.1 billion, helped by an improvement in the economy and an election year, the trade publication says. Advertising spending across all media declined by 4.1%, or $141.7 billion, in 2008, Television Week reports, citing a TNS Media Intelligence study.
