SAG Contract Battle Heats Up

The Screen Actors Guild’s battle over ratification of the proposed contract with the studios is heating up, Daily Variety says. National board member Kate Walsh posted a video message on the SAG Web site urging its 110,000 members to vote in favor of the contract, the trade paper says. Meanwhile, the opposition has been sending out fliers urging members not to lend their support to the deal.

  1. Kate Walsh has it right. SAG must sign in and work towards the future.
As I have written before, Alan Rosenberg should be ousted for all the damage that has been extended in time by his bull-headed, unmovable position.
Everybody needs to know that SAG is on board to work with all the other factors in an industry that has members across the trades who are hurting.
Work first, get some solidarity in revenue flow and negotiate up as conditions warrant.
