Reports are surfacing on the Internet that Paula Abdul, the "American Idol" judge who has announced she will not be returning to the show, has an offer to be a judge on "Australian Idol." One of those reports is on the PerthNow Web site.

It turns out that "Australian Idol" is actually in need of a judge, since it recenty fired one.

According to a report in The Guardian, the judge, Klye Sandilands, is also a radio shock jock in Sydney.

Sandilands was "dumped as a judge on ‘Australian Idol’ after a public backlash over a lie-detector stunt in which a teenage girl revealed she had been raped," the Guardian reported.
